These are directives and procedures that are written and agreed by the directors, clinical lead and advisory doctor in order for staff to legally administer certain medications that are not covered under the Medicines Act or 'pre-exempt'. MSOP's are very similar to Patient Group Directives (PGDs) but can be used outside the NHS.
